We’re now hiring a Global Real Estate Director to architect and execute a visionary real estate strategy that underpins Ipsen’s growth ambitions across commercial, R&D, and manufacturing sites worldwide.

Your Purpose

As our Global Real Estate Director, you'll be the architect of Ipsen’s global real estate strategy—leading, aligning, and transforming a diverse portfolio to deliver value, drive growth, and create inspiring, sustainable environments.

Key Responsibilities

  Strategic Leadership

• Design and deliver a best-in-class global real estate strategy aligned with Ipsen’s business vision.

• Partner with Business Units, HR, Finance, Legal, and Ops to align space with strategy.

• Lead due diligence for M&A and divestitures, ensuring real estate integration and value creation.

Portfolio & Performance Management

• Optimize value from a global portfolio encompassing commercial, R&D, and industrial sites.

• Develop KPIs to evaluate performance, ensure operational excellence, and track ROI.

• Forecast and manage global real estate budgets, risks, and business case approvals.

Global Governance & Standards

• Establish global real estate policies, processes, and performance metrics.

• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards—including ESG and health & safety.

• Embed sustainability into every project—from green leases to carbon-conscious building designs.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Oversee relationships with brokers, landlords, and lease administration suppliers.

• Lead contract negotiations, performance, risk mitigation, and alignment to global standards.

• Be the go-to expert for senior stakeholders on real estate trends, insights, and opportunities.

  People Leadership

• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, ethics, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• 7–10+ years in global real estate management, strategy, and portfolio optimization.

• Proven success in leading complex, high-value property portfolios (pharma or consumer sectors a plus).

• Experience with lease admin systems, M&A due diligence, and global supplier management.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

• Experience in negotiations

• Leadership presence: you coach, motivate, and bring out the best in your teams.

• Fluent in English (French is a plus).

• Global mindset - flexibility to travel internationally as needed (about 30%)
