Why This Role, Why Now:

Powerdot has spent the last seven years building one of Europe's leading EV charging networks: 12,500+ charging points live, 20,000+ contracted, across Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium and Poland. We've moved through the land-grab, the roll-out, and the quality eras.

That shift needs a voice. We're looking for a Head of Communications to own how Powerdot tells its story, to the market and to our own team. You'll report directly to the CEO and be the person who turns what we do into a narrative that partners, investors, media, talent and our own people actually feel. This is a build role for someone who wants to shape a category leader's reputation from the inside.

How You'll Shape Our Story:

You'll own communications end to end (external and internal) and translate Powerdot's strategy into a story people remember.

• Own the narrative: Define and lead Powerdot's communications strategy across all markets, in lockstep with the CEO and the leadership team.
• External comms / PR: Lead our press and media relations across markets. Build relationships with top-tier journalists, shape the editorial agenda, land the stories that matter, and manage our agency partners in every country to a high bar.
• External comms / Social: Own Powerdot's social presence and tone of voice. Turn our scale, our partnerships and our performance into content that builds reputation and pulls in talent, partners and drivers.
• Internal comms: Design and run how we communicate with our own team across five markets, from company-wide updates to CEO messaging to the rituals that keep a fast-growing, distributed company aligned and energised.
• Storytelling: Be the person who can take a complex, technical, operational business and make it land simply and memorably, in a press release, a LinkedIn post, an internal all-hands or an investor narrative.
• Manage and grow the team: Lead one direct report and orchestrate a network of agencies across all markets, setting the brief, holding the quality bar, and making sure every market tells one coherent Powerdot story.
• Protect the brand: Own messaging consistency and reputation management, and be ready to lead communications when the stakes are high.
• Measure what matters: Bring rigor to comms, share of voice, reach, sentiment, and the link between our story and our commercial and talent goals.

This Is About You, Not Us :

• 10+ years in communications, with a blend of PR, social media and internal comms, ideally a mix of agency and in-house, in a scale-up, tech or high-growth environment
• A genuine storyteller, you can prove it with work that shifted perception, not just activity.
• Hands-on experience running PR and media relations, and managing agencies across multiple markets.
• Track record building or running internal communications for a distributed team.
• Comfortable operating directly with a CEO and leadership team, and translating strategy into message.
• Fluency in English; French is a strong plus. Any additional market language (Spanish, Portugese, Polish) is a bonus.
• Player-coach mindset: senior enough to set strategy, hands-on enough to write the post yourself.
