The role

Orus has a team of 120 people, with a tech organization of 30+ engineers and product+design people and an ambitious European expansion plan.

Until now, Product Management and Product Design have reported to Tom, co-founder and COO. The foundations are in place: Florian, Lead Product Manager and ex-Qonto, leads 4 PMs; Michael, Lead Product Designer and ex-BlaBlaCar, Pigment, and Iziwork, leads 3 Product Designers.

What Orus now needs is a dedicated product leader to take over this scope and lead the product mission at Orus: setting the long-term product vision, bringing stronger coherence to the roadmap, raising product and UX standards, and helping the team scale without adding unnecessary process.

You will report to Tom and work closely with Côme, CEO, Samuel, CTO, and the rest of the executive team on company-level priorities.

Your mission

1. Own product vision and roadmap

• Set the 12–24 month product vision, with a strong focus on core product delivery.

• Own the global product roadmap, co-built with the CEO, COO, and CTO.

• Turn strategy into clear bets across squads, countries, and product domains - self-onboarding, brokers, new insurance launches, customer care & claims, AI automation, etc.

• Bring roadmap coherence across squads, countries, and business priorities.

2. Build and lead the PM and Design team

• Recruit and develop strong PM and Product Design profiles as the team scales.

  • Today: 9 people: Florian (Lead PM) + 4 PMs, Michaël (Lead Product Designer) + 3 designers.

• Protect and develop what makes Orus distinctive: PMs and designers who understand the business deeply and are excellent at collaborating with developers.

• Structure rituals, roles, feedback loops, and career development across both disciplines.

3. Set the product standards

• Define how Product works at Orus: discovery, framing, prioritization, roadmap management, measurement, cross-squad sharing.

• Keep processes light and useful.

• Adapt to each squad where needed while keeping company-level consistency.

4. Product / Design / Engineering fluidity

• Help preserve one of Orus's core strengths: engineers are product-minded, understand the business, and challenge product decisions.

• Make sure PMs, designers, squad leads, and engineers work together with business teams and not in silos.

• Align product / engineering at company level with Samuel.

What success looks like after 12 months

• Build one of the best teams in France, with 5+ fully functional squads covering every product area

• Better core tools and automation shipped and adopted internally for Customer Care, Claims, and Underwriting

• The best broker platform on the European market

• 10+ new insurance products launched across our three international markets (France, Spain, Netherlands)

• A step up in UI polish across the whole product

• A clear focus placed on AI-driven automation to make customer experience as excellent as possible

What we're looking for

• 8+ years in product, with a proven Head of Product tenure.

• Strong opinions and strong track record on discovery, prioritization, and UX quality.

• Hired, developed, retained multiple PMs and designers.

• Comfortable in a high-growth environment.

• Deep business orientation and ability to work closely with different business teams.

• Native or fluent French, fluent English.

• Insurance or fintech experience is a plus but not required.
