Application Support Engineer

RED Global - Application Support Engineer- 12 Months + Ext - Start End of September On behalf of our Global Key Partner, RED is currently looking for a Application Support Engineer to join us. Application Support Engineers (SC/DV Cleared)
Engagement Type: Contract (Initial 12 Months)
Project Duration: Long-term programme (3-5 years expected)
Start Date: 28th September 2026
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Clearance Required: Active SC Clearance or DV Clearance
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week) Positions Required
The client is looking for Application Support Engineers with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
1. ThingWorx Application Support Engineer
Key experience:
PTC ThingWorx platform administration and support
Incident and problem management
User access and permission management
Environment monitoring and performance optimisation
Integration troubleshooting

2. PTC Windchill Support Engineer
Key experience:
Windchill PLM administration and support
User support and issue resolution
Configuration management
Data management and lifecycle processes
Engineering user support within manufacturing or defence environments

3. Jira & Confluence Support Engineer
Key experience:
Atlassian Jira administration
Confluence administration and support
Workflow configuration
Access management
Plugin administration
User training and troubleshooting

4. MATLAB Support Engineer
Key experience:
MATLAB environment support
User issue resolution
License management
Tool installation and configuration
Support of engineering and simulation teams

5. X-Ray & Artifactory Support Engineer
Key experience:
X-Ray test management support
JFrog Artifactory administration
Repository management
CI/CD toolchain support
Integration and troubleshooting activities

6. General Engineering Applications Support Engineer
Key experience:
Support of engineering software environments
Application administration
User onboarding and access management
Incident/problem management
Working within secure engineering environments
Supporting engineering, product development and manufacturing teams

Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidates should demonstrate:
Active SC or DV Clearance (strong preference for existing clearance)
Experience as an Application Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Systems Administrator or Platform Support Engineer
Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing software applications
Exposure to defence, aerospace, engineering or highly regulated industries
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to work onsite within secure environments
Eligibility to work in the UK Reference
