LG Material Sourcer - Leather

PositionWithin the Leather Goods Sourcing Raw Material team, reporting to the Head of Department, he/she will participate in the identification and selection of high-quality leather materials for the production of leather goods. You will work closely with the design, product development, purchasing, and production teams to ensure that the materials meet aesthetic, technical, quality, regulatory, and cost requirements.Job ResponsabilitiesAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:Interface with the Design Accessories Team to receive new collection inputsCollaborate with designers and product developers to create new materials and adapt existing materials to the specific needs of each collectionMonitor the development of prints and finishes in collaboration with the studios, the Materials teams based in Florence and the manufacturersEnsure the follow-up of quality tests and compliance with environmental, safety and DIOR standardsInterface with the Product Development Office for the launch of finished product prototypes and swatchesDraft color and material master for production and share with the Industrialization DeptMaintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new strategic partnershipsShare regularly with Sourcing team to support and align with the Maisons' Supplier StrategyConduct in-depth research on market trends, material innovations, and sustainability best practices.Maintain a constant watch on new materials, technologies, and market trends.ProfileGraduate in Fashion / Engineering School or Certificate in Leather IndustryTechnical knowledge of leather materialsPrevious experience of at least 7/8 years in leather goods production departments and/or tanneries;Advanced Englis level (C1-C2), fluency in French and Italian is mandatoryKnowledge of processing techniques applicable to leather materialsProven experience in sourcing materials for leather goods or a related sectorStrong interest in Fashion Products, Leather Goods in particular, and Production issuesExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThoroughness and attention to detailSense of organization and ability to manage prioritiesCreativity and curiosityTeam spirit, very good interpersonal skills, autonomy, dynamismStrong sensitivity to quality and sustainable developmentAdditional InformationContractImpiego a tempo indeterminatoExperienceAlmeno 5 anniTypeFull timeFunctionDesign/Creazione
