THE ROLE

The Senior AdOps Director & Team Lead, Programmatic is a Paris-based role at the forefront of Zeta’s media activation offering. In this high-impact supervisory role, you will combine people management, ad operations oversight , and presales media guidance to drive account growth in highly targeted digital advertising programs for agency and enterprise clients.

 

Based in Paris (or nearby), you will manage a local French team composed of highly experienced ad ops professionals (5+ years of experience) while driving media outcomes and supporting client-facing teams. You will also serve as the key business partner for leadership by providing critical pricing and media recommendations during the presales phase.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

People Management & Leadership

·       Team Guidance: Lead, mentor, and manage the day-to-day operations of the local French AdOps team.

·       Technical Escalation: Support, troubleshoot, and debug complex ongoing activities led by the ops team, including tracking, ad serving, and trading/optimization.

·       International Collaboration: Coordinate and support media initiatives with Zeta’s Spain team to ensure cross-border alignment.

Presales Pricing & Strategy

·       Commercial Strategy: Play a lead role in defining presales pricing and media plan approval for programmatic offerings.

·       Strategic Input: Partner with sales and account leadership to provide technical and strategic insights for client pitches, RFPs, and campaign structure.

Tier 1 Client & Account Management

·       Strategic Ownership: Take full responsibility for Tier 1 clients, overseeing performance, high-level follow-ups, QBRs, reporting, and insights.

·       Account Growth: Partner with the Account Director to identify upsell opportunities, targeting top digital ad spenders to drive incremental budgets and renewal opportunities.

Campaign Excellence & Analytics

·       Media KPIs: Own performance across your team's campaign portfolio by ensuring programmatic best practices are followed and timely optimizations are made to achieve client KPIs.

·       Operational Guardrails: Monitor internal and third-party reporting for pacing, performance, and discrepancy tracking.

·       Advanced Analysis: Partner with the Zeta Analytics team to prepare deep post-campaign reports for Tier 1 clients.

 

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

·       Experience: 8+ years’ experience in programmatic advertising within Account Management, AdOps, or Media Planning functions, with a proven track record in people management or team leadership.

·       Presales Acumen: Demonstrated experience contributing to presales strategies, media plan pricing, and commercial proposals.

·       Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of at least one DSP (DV360, Xandr, Yahoo, or TTD, preferred) along with solid optimization expertise across supply, audiences, bidding, and attribution factors.

·       Client Skills: Proven ability to develop and nurture executive-level relationships and work effectively at all levels of the decision-making process.

·       Analytical Mindset: Strong analytic skills, including a high level of comfort with Excel and data-driven decision-making.

·       Soft Skills: Outstanding business writing, communication, and presentation skills , paired with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in an accelerated environment.

·       Languages: Native French and fluent English are mandatory (an additional language is a plus) .

·       Flexibility: Ability to travel if needed (infrequent)
