Project Manager, large-scale HPC/AI platform deployment

Context
A EuroHPC hosting entity in Luxembourg is deploying a new AI-optimised supercomputer across two Tier IV data centres. The contract has been awarded and the project is in its deployment phase, ending with Final Acceptance and transfer of ownership in Q1 2027. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to secure delivery.

Setup
On site at least 4 days per week, split between the client's offices in Bertrange and data centres in Bissen and Bettembourg. Direct reporting line to the CTO, who sponsors the project.

Responsibilities

• Run the deployment as a formal project, in line with international PM standards and the constraints of the underlying public procurement

• Coordinate the client's internal team leads, the facility manager, the hardware integrator and their suppliers

• Coordinate the activity streams: facility integration and security, fabrics and connectivity, compute platforms, data platforms, software layers, management platform, service management

• Run all workshops and stakeholder meetings, and maintain formal minutes, decisions and change requests

• Maintain project tracking, dashboards and reporting on progress, deliverables and risks

• Participate in formal project reviews with EuroHPC JU and client management

• Ensure operational readiness criteria are met and the contractual timeline is held

Profile

• 15+ years of project management in large, complex IT environments

• Delivered IT hardware/software platform or transformation projects above 10 M€

• Comfortable with executive leadership and steering committees

• Solid on project governance, risk management, planning and reporting

• Proven stakeholder management across cross-functional teams, suppliers and system integrators

• Full professional English mandatory. French and Italian are a plus

• Data centre, HPC or public procurement exposure is an advantage

• Based in or able to be on site in Luxembourg four days a week from the outset
