You’ll get to work with teams from across Checkout.com’s portfolio of products and services who all have a real customer first philosophy.As a Software engineer, you will lead and drive specific projects critical to Checkout's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display exceptional leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. With your technical expertise you will lead project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.What are we looking for:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go, with a strong understanding of software development principles in either a backend or full stack environment.Great communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholdersExperience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code within tight deadlinesExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a teamSomeone who is AI proficient or AI curious, you will be hungry to embrace what the latest technology has to offer to enhance yours and your teams productivityPayments or financial knowledge is a plus, but not a necessityHow you’ll make an impactBe part of, and collaborate with, cross-functional teams including product management, across a large engineering community.Define and design loosely coupled, scalable systems in a wider microservices using industry best practices.Stay up-to-date, use, and spread knowledge of the latest technologies used by Checkout.Write clean, maintainable, extendable and testable code on some of Checkout’s most impactful systems.Build, own and operate your systems to the highest levels of resilience and service.Mentor junior team members and assist in their technical developmentAdditional InformationBring all of you to workWe create the conditions for high performers to thrive, through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver.
