YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within the Group, you will join AXA EssentiALL , AXA’s inclusive insurance business with social impact. Our purpose is to make insurance more accessible, affordable and attractive to low-to-middle income customers who remain vulnerable to unforeseen events. Launched in 2016 with an initial focus on emerging markets, AXA’s inclusive insurance strategy has been expanded in 2024 to Europe as part of AXA’s new strategic plan “Unlock the Future”. Our aim is to build a sustainable business model while maximizing the value and impact delivered to our customers. By 2026, AXA EssentiALL has an ambitious objective to close the protection gap for 20 million customers globally (vs. 17.4m customers in 2024).

Within this Department, you will be supporting the development of inclusive insurance in France where over a quarter of the population is suffering from increasing financial vulnerabilities that jeopardize their economic resilience and health. AXA EssentiALL is therefore developing tailored-made solutions and adaptation of our core offerings to better fit the needs of modest income households.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

• Inclusive insurance strategic studies
  • Help update AXA France’s inclusive insurance strategy in light of AXA’s next 2027-2029 strategic plan
  • Co-define local priorities and roadmaps hand in hand with AXA France teams
  • Identify the right talents to reinforce the local inclusive insurance teams
  • Support governance with CEOs & Excom Sponsors to track strategy delivery and business performance

• Innovation and new offer / partnership opportunities
  • Drive business opportunities, both via B2B2C partnerships and more traditional channels e.g. agents, to take the new offers to market
  • Develop/redesign products and services to match customers’ needs through inclusive criteria.

• Thought leadership and capacity building
  • Steering thought leadership projects and impact studies to position AXA in the policy debates around financial inclusion in the countries e.g. to address regulatory hurdles, in collaboration with the Public Affairs teams
  • Support capacity-building and cross-fertilization amongst AXA EU markets to accelerate inclusive insurance, ensuring replication of successes and sharing learnings from failures with other AXA entities.

To ensure success you will collaborate with 1) AXA France’s different business units, 2) AXA EssentiALL’s cross-functional experts, 3) external partners.

This temporary position is designed to cover for a maternity leave within the team and can lead, if successful, to open-ended job opportunities e.g. in AXA France’s inclusive insurance team.

YOUR PROFILE

• 7-10 years’ experience in insurance or financial services consulting, preferably in strategic development, partnerships, or product innovation roles, in France.
• Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a drive to make a meaningful impact in the insurance industry with a real desire to challenge the way insurance is traditionally conducted.
• Strong organization, presentation and conviction skills to build trusted relationships and achieve objectives with C-Suite leaders both internally and externally.
• Confidence to work independently and manage multiple tasks/ engagements
• Team player with both tact and expertise to break silos between teams, navigate competing interests and credibly drive change in a large organization such as AXA.
• Faculty to navigate multi-cultural environments with vastly different ways of working across countries and entities
• Genuine interest in financial inclusion and business with social impact
• Fluent French and English a must-have.
