The role

WEBB Traders is looking for a Senior Quantitative Trader who is able to work together in a team to create new trading strategies.

Then we are looking for you!  As a Senior Quantitative Trader, you are responsible for the creation and monitoring of systematic data-driven strategies in financial markets. You will have a total understanding of the methodology of the strategies, how they should operate, recognize odd behaviors and understand market patterns to further optimize their performance.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute systematic data-driven strategies in financial markets

• Work closely together with other Trading Teams, IT Development and the Risk department

• Continue building towards a more automated and data-driven trading environment and make it scalable and future proof

• Contribute to all aspects of the trading desk activities, including: position reconciliation, risk management tasks, and post trade analysis

• Report key results of the team to the management board

• Effectively and critically challenging others when necessary

What you bring to WEBB

• Educational background: Strong mathematical background like Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Finance or Computer Science

• Quantitative expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience with Quantitative Trading and demonstrable ability to build profitable quantitative strategies with a long term Sharpe Ratio of 3+

• Technical mastery: Experience with Python and/or other languages, such as C++

• Creative problem-solver: Very creative and able to come up with new trading ideas and translate patterns into quantifiable trading models

• Leadership and drive: A driven, innovative, and enterprising team player with strong leadership skills, capable of managing projects end-to-end, coordinating effectively with other teams and ensuring seamless execution

• Analytical mindset: A strong analytical thinker, risk tolerant, stress resistant and up-to-date with latest development

• Language skills : You communicate effectively and clearly in English, both written and spoken
