Safety Manager
YOUR MISSION AT VOI
As Safety Manager for France, you will lead the development, implementation and follow-up of health and safety practices across our French operations, while also providing oversight and guidance for Italy and Spain. You will make sure our teams have the right processes, systems and support to meet local legal requirements and apply Voi’s central health and safety standards consistently.
Working closely with local market leadership, warehouse and field teams, Legal, Operations, HR and central safety functions, you will help identify risks, improve safety performance and support safer, more efficient operations across the region.
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in France, aligned with Voi’s central standards and French legal requirements.
Own and maintain the DUERP and site risk assessments for French warehouses, logistics areas and offices, including annual updates and action plans.
Review and analyse safety data, accidents, near misses and safety-critical events to identify trends, root causes and prevention measures.
Conduct and coordinate audits, inspections and incident investigations across warehouses, field operations, transportation and battery handling processes.
Support the safe use of technical equipment, workshop machinery, lithium-ion batteries and hazardous substances, including relevant ADR/CSTMD and ICPE requirements.
Work with the CSE/CSSCT, occupational health services, external consultants and labour inspectors to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Coordinate or deliver health and safety training in France, including first aid, fire safety and evacuation training.
Manage external health and safety consultants in Italy and Spain, reviewing their reports, audits and risk assessments to ensure quality and alignment with Voi standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK
We are looking for a structured and collaborative health and safety professional who combines strong legal knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach. You communicate clearly, build trust with stakeholders and help teams turn requirements into safe everyday routines.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
A degree or professional qualification in occupational health and safety, HSE, risk prevention or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in an HSE management role, ideally across multiple sites or countries.
Strong knowledge of French health and safety law, including the Code du travail, DUERP, CSE/CSSCT, accident reporting and prevention plans.
Experience developing policies, procedures, risk assessments and prevention strategies.
Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Confidence delivering training and supporting teams in improving safety performance.
Experience managing external consultants or service providers.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and reporting skills.
Fluency in French and English.
You either already hold, or are willing to obtain with company support within 6–12 months:
CSTMD / ADR dangerous goods safety adviser certification.
Relevant fire safety qualification for our sites, such as SSIAP where applicable.
It is a plus if you have experience in logistics, mobility, transportation, warehouse operations or similar industries, as well as knowledge of lithium-ion battery handling and storage. Italian or Spanish language skills are also beneficial.
Don’t meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and have relevant, transferable skills, we encourage you to apply – even if you don’t check every box.
