Senior / Middle Vue.js Frontend Developer - Remote in EU / UK
This role is fully remote, you can be located anywhere in Europe and UK. Hi there! Thanks for being here and let's get started. Cycloid focuses on platform engineering done right. We optimize the developer experience and operational efficiency by accelerating the delivery of a portal and platform, alleviating the cognitive load on IT teams and advocating for FinOps & Green IT practices. With our Internal Developer Portal and Platform, you don't need to start from scratch to get a fully customized solution. Platform teams design, build and run the platform enabling end-users to visualize, deploy and manage existing and new projects, interact with cutting-edge DevOps and Cloud automation without the need to become an expert, while keeping best practices in place, cloud expenses under control with a minimum carbon footprint. Cycloid is an Internal Developer Platform and an internal developer Portal with modules around self-service portal and platform orchestration, project lifecycle and ressources management, FinOps and GreenOps and plugins. It can be consumed through the console, in CLI or in API. At Cycloid, we're an open organization meaning that your voice and point of view will have a true impact on how we work and the decisions we make. What is my challenge ?
As a member of the Frontend team you will: Join a team of 4 experienced Frontend Developers and be a key part of the development of our new features. Have you heard of our freshly baked Cloud carbon footprint explorer feature yet? Your day-to-day:
- Work with the Design, Backend, and Ops teams to develop features
- Contribute to unit/E2E testing, bug fixing, documentation, etc
- Review pull requests, submitted by colleagues
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Be a part of discussions that have a team/company-wide impact
What should I bring to the table?
We are looking for talented and passionate Front-end developers to help us build our Framework.
We value clean, DRY, easy-to-read code that is well tested and keeps up to date with modern standards.
We have a dedicated Design team, so you will be building things based on their mockups and user flows. You:
- Are a Frontend developer with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Are an open-minded, knowledgeable, and friendly person
- Are not afraid of taking on big tasks and getting your hands dirty
- Know how to strike the right balance between autonomy and working collectively in a team
- Team player and good communication skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with any Modern JS framework
- Good coding practices using modern CSS, HTML, and JS
- Unit testing (we use Jest, but experience in others is useful)
- Good knowledge of git and GitHub (code reviews, rebasing, cherry-picking, etc)
- Capacity to communicate effectively and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
- Experience working remotely
- Experience in migrating from VUE 2 to VUE3
- Experience with Webpack, E2E testing (i.e. Cypress), CI/CD tools, and SVG based libraries (i.e. D3)
- DevOps knowledge or interest
- Have contributed to the open-source community
