Backend Developer

As part of our product and technical growth, we are looking for a Backend Developer to strengthen our engineering team and actively contribute to the evolution of our SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer, you will work on a production SaaS product and play a key role in its technical evolution. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Python and Django
• Actively contributing to architecture and technical design decisions
• Working on real-world SaaS production challenges such as performance, reliability, scalability, and technical debt
• Analyzing and improving the existing codebase with a critical yet pragmatic mindset
• Collaborating closely with Product teams, including non-technical stakeholders
• Contributing to overall code quality through readability, testing, code reviews, and documentation

Desired Education & Experience

• High level of autonomy, with responsibility for designing, building, and maintaining backend services
• Proven experience building and maintaining SaaS products
• Strong awareness of technical debt and the ability to prioritize it effectively over time
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code with long-term quality in mind
• Strong written communication skills, including documentation, technical specifications, and async collaboration
• Comfort working closely with non-technical stakeholders such as Product Managers and Operations teams
• Ability to thrive in a structured, collaborative team environment where teamwork matters more than individual ego

The role is full remote in metropolitan France or at the Lille or Paris office.
