Local Community Recruiter - French Speaker (France)

Join DataForce for a 4-5 weeks freelance project, using your local knowledge and community connections to recruit participants for an ongoing voice-recording data collection study.

• Work location : Remote, with local outreach in at least one of the target regions of France

• Target regions : North/Northeast or Southeast/Southwest France

• Preferred availability : 10-20 hours per week

• Compensation : €25 per hour, plus a €10 bonus for each eligible participant who completes the study successfully

We are seeking Local Community Recruiters to support recruitment for an ongoing voice data collection project in France.

We are looking for individuals with strong connections in one of the target regions (North/Northeast or Southeast/Southwest of France) who can identify and engage native French speakers with the required regional accents. Current recruitment priorities include adults aged 42 and above, and parents or legal guardians of children aged 7–17. Specific demographic targets will be provided during onboarding and may be updated throughout the project depending on project progression.

The study itself is completed remotely by participants using a smartphone. Recruiters will focus on local outreach, candidate generation and follow-up, helping eligible participants move from initial interest through registration and task completion.

The study is aimed to improve voice assistant technologies for French speaking users of various accents.

Role Summary

The Local Community Recruiter will develop and carry out targeted sourcing activities within an assigned region of France. The role requires a quality-focused approach, using trusted local networks, community organizations, associations, referrals, and other relevant channels to reach participants who may not be easily accessible through standard online advertising.

Recruiters will also maintain contact with candidates, explain the opportunity clearly and support them through the registration and participation process.

Role Responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential participants within the assigned target region

• Use local networks, community groups, associations, referrals and appropriate physical or digital outreach channels

• Focus recruitment on the regional, age and gender groups prioritized by the project

• Approach parents or legal guardians when recruiting children

• Clearly explain the study, eligibility requirements, registration process and compensation

• Support interested candidates through registration and task completion

• Follow up with eligible candidates and address basic questions or participation barriers

• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referrals and candidate progress

• Provide regular updates on results, challenges and local market feedback

• Coordinate closely with the DataForce Sourcing

• Follow all project guidelines, privacy requirements and ethical recruitment practices

Role Requirements

• Currently based in or strongly connected to North/Northeast or Southeast/Southwest France

• Idiomatic fluency in French (France)

• Sufficient English skills to understand project documentation and communicate with the internal team

• Established local networks and a strong understanding of the assigned region

• Ability to work independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Organized, proactive and comfortable following up with candidates

• Able to adapt quickly as recruitment priorities and demographic targets change

• Comfortable using online forms, spreadsheets and basic digital communication tools

• Access to a computer, reliable internet connection and telephone

Preferred Role Requirements

• Previous experience in recruitment, community outreach, field marketing, event promotion or participant sourcing

• Existing relationships with community organizations, schools, parent networks, senior groups, cultural associations or other relevant local networks

• Experience recruiting for research studies, market research or data collection projects

• Familiarity with regional French accents and local communities
