Risk Manager

The scope of risk management is now broadening from identification of risks and controls (implementation of frameworks for managing all types of risk) to pro-actively challenging the robustness and effectiveness of the whole risk management process controls and all its deliverables.

This takes place in an environment where expectations of internal and external stakeholders have gone up dramatically, as evidenced by the plethora of new rules and regulations banks have to cope with.

As a result, the job complexity has grown significantly.

In light of these developments it is imperative to have a well-resourced strong independent risk management function that helps the Bank manage its risks effectively and that ensures that the best risk management practices are implemented, that regulations are complied with.

Reporting directly to the CRO, the job holder will join the Risk Management department. He/She will be in charge of generating and managing all Bank/Group Risk reporting and perform second level control of Bank Regulatory reporting (COREP, LCR, Large Exposure etc.) performed according to French/EU requirement.

The job holder will support the CRO for overseeing development and implementation of integrated risk management framework and control system to ensure the assigned Bank and Group within an agreed risk appetite and complies with all internal policies
and external regulatory obligations. The job holder will help Senior Management to design and implement ICAAP/ILAAP/RP processes relevant for the bank.
In doing this, he/she will work closely with the Parent companies Risk Management units to ensure the Group methodologies, policies, procedures and limit frameworks are established in Bank and compliant with French/EU regulation.

The potential candidate will oversee building, producing and regularly updating the risk report suite to ensure consistency and compliance with the bank’s risk tolerance.

Frequent interaction with senior management at all levels within the unit (risk identification and mitigation, raising awareness, supporting, advising, challenging as the case may be.)

Represent the Risk Management department in internal (Risk) Committees and participate as a risk advisor in change management projects.
Responsibility for deployment risk management framework in Paris, Milan and Frankfurt.
