Frontend and User Experience Lead - Freelance

Context

Within this department, there is an opportunity to join the team as a Front-End & UX Engineering Lead, to support the acceleration of AI solution adoption across the company’s 100,000 teammates, while ensuring compliance with standards, a clear governance framework, and the proper integration of use cases with technological systems.

Missions

• Design holistic user journeys: map and think about the user journeys of different personas in a holistic way, acting in tight co-construction with Product Managers (PMs) to ensure every touchpoint is coherent and valuable

• Standardize the Data Platform UX: bring consistency and coherence to the user experience across all Data & AI products, mitigating the chaotic proliferation of disparate AI front-ends

• Build a specific Design System: design, implement, and maintain a dedicated Data & AI Design System (leveraging the company’s existing Vitamin design system) to ensure all new products share the same visual and functional DNA

• Lead front-end capabilities: oversee the front-end software engineering efforts for the internal products developed by the team, guiding developers to translate design into flawless code

• Drive "Seamless XP": champion user centricity within the product teams, moving experiences away from complex technical redirections towards seamless, unified user journeys

• Evangelize design principles: improve in-app communication and signposting, awakening engineering teams and Product Managers to fundamental design concepts like affordance and signifiers

• Collaborate across teams: work closely with Software Engineers, Product Marketing Managers (PMM), and Customer Success Managers (CSM) to design interfaces for AI agents, hubs, and dashboards

Requirements

• Senior-level experience (5+ years) in UX/UI design, specifically for technical products, data platforms, or complex B2B SaaS environments

• Strong experience in mapping holistic user journeys, creating personas, and working in close co-construction with Product Managers

• Proven track record of creating, implementing, and scaling Design Systems

• Strong technical background with hands-on experience or strong management skills in Front-End Software Engineering (e.g., React, Vue.js, or similar modern frameworks)

• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor front-end developers and firmly advocate for design best practices in a highly engineering-driven environment

• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric design processes, the application of affordance principles, and the ability to simplify complex technical workflows

• Highly autonomous and proactive profile, capable of framing a vision and executing it end-to-end

• Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory)
