Senior Software Engineer (Supplier Data Manager) Ajouter aux favoris
- Scale SDM for enterprise customers: the architecture, infrastructure, and service design that keep SDM fast and correct as data volumes and customer complexity grow.
- Build the data-processing pipelines: the core of SDM is turning messy supplier data into trusted, high-volume catalogue data. Some steps are deterministic; some use LLMs to extract attributes and classify products. You'd be making the whole pipeline reliable and cost-effective in production, which is real work on architecture, algorithms, and handling failure at scale, not just calling a model and hoping.
- Build collaboration and governance features: help retailers and their suppliers work together safely, with contribution experiences that include guardrails, delegation, and approval workflows.
- Ship and own what you build: monitor it in production, close the loop with support, and drive operational excellence. A weekly support rotation is shared across the team, ensuring ownership over time; most of your time is spent building rather than reacting.
- Actively take part in structured customer discovery: validate hypotheses, understand real ways of working, and gather feedback that directly shapes what gets built.
- Work across the company: collaborate with adjacent teams so that what SDM builds helps the wider platform, and vice versa.
- You build systems, not just features. You reason about design and architecture, and you know enough about data structures and algorithms to make smart decisions. You can work out what happens when scale is an issue (throughput, latency, correctness under load) and design pragmatic solutions, whether or not you've faced our exact volumes before. You know the difference between something that looks like it works and something that actually does.
- You go deep when things break. When a system fails at scale (or shows early signals), you can find the real cause, reason about it, and fix it. You're comfortable in the hard, unglamorous work: debugging, experimenting, and getting to the bottom of things.
- You own what you build, end to end, from talking with customers to designing the solution, through shipping, diagnosis, metrics reporting, and observability.
- Strong Python or PHP. You need to be strong in at least one: Python powers SDM's data-processing pipelines; PHP underpins the wider Akeneo Product Cloud. Both are ideal, but a strong grasp of one, with a willingness to learn the other, is what matters. TypeScript and React cover frontend work and new services; experience there is a plus, not a day-one requirement. GCP and infrastructure-as-code are useful, but we're hiring strong fundamentals, not someone who ticks every box on paper.
- You care why, not just how. You think about the customer's workflows throughout the day, the adoption path, and potential failure modes. You're the kind of engineer who skims support tickets even when not on support because you care about customers' overall experience.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity. You are at your best when you help shape what gets built, run experiments, and make trade-offs. If you do your best work given a clear problem and the room to solve it, this is the place.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate on purpose. Clear, concise communication and active collaboration are critical for this distributed team. You need to be able to talk to anyone about the topic you are working on and bring others along for the journey.
- You lift the people around you. You care about helping people grow and succeed, including those outside your immediate team, and you lead by example rather than by title.
- You use AI to think, not just to type. We build with tools like Claude Code, and the engineers who get the most from them use them to explore, experiment, and reason through hard problems, not just to produce code faster. When anyone can generate code, the value is in knowing what to build and why. (This is about how we build, not what we build.)
