Founded in 2023 by Antoine and Paul-Adrien , Spiko gives SMEs, non-profits, financial advisers and fintechs access to institutional-grade cash management, via app or API. We are building the full infrastructure: issuing, operating, and distributing the products ourselves.

The role: React Native Engineer

We are looking for a React Native Engineer to join Spiko's engineering team.

You will own the architecture and delivery of our mobile experience and help us ship a best-in-class native app for our retail and B2B customers. Mobile is becoming a strategic surface for Spiko, and you will be the senior IC driving it forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, building and shipping new features in our React Native (Expo) mobile app

• Owning the mobile architecture: navigation, state management, offline support, performance, and release pipeline

• Defining the standards, tooling, and CI/CD for mobile development at Spiko

• Working closely with the design team to ship pixel-perfect, delightful UI

• Integrating with our backend APIs and external providers (KYC, payments, custody, etc.)

• Owning the App Store and Play Store release process

• Collaborating with full-stack engineers to evolve our shared TypeScript codebase (NX monorepo)

Who we're looking for

Requirements (must-haves):

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with strong production experience on React Native and Expo

• Proven track record shipping and maintaining a React Native app at scale (App Store + Play Store releases, EAS, OTA updates)

• Strong TypeScript fundamentals and a high bar for code quality

• Comfortable working autonomously, with a product mindset and an eye for UX details

• Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment

• Curious, pragmatic, and eager to learn

Nice to have:

• Experience with native iOS/Android development (Swift, Kotlin) when needed to drop down from JS

• Experience integrating biometrics, secure storage, push notifications, and deep linking

• Experience in fintech, capital markets, or other highly regulated environments

• Familiarity with our broader stack (Next.js, Effect, NX monorepo)

Our hiring process

1. Screening Interview - 30 mins with the recruiter

2. Technical Interview - 45 mins, focusing on React Native with a member of the engineering team

3. Hands-on Technical Session - 2 hours with two engineers (mobile architecture, live coding) - onsite

4. Final in-person Interviews with the Founders

5. Reference Check: we'll reach out to your references to gather further insights
