Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Network Products Edge team to support the scaling and evolution of critical products such as Load Balancer as a Service and Web Application Firewall solutions . Your mission will be to develop new features, improve reliability, and contribute to the automation and observability of our services in order to offer robust, scalable, and secure network products to our clients. YOUR FUTURE TEAM : We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 3 people working on essential Edge Services products including Load Balancers, caching layers, and advanced Web Application Firewalls. Daily collaboration includes exchanges with the Product Manager, Product Designer, Front-end developers, internal tooling engineers, and Technical Writers. You'll also interact regularly with other product teams, especially during incidents or for cross-cutting feature implementation. Manager information: William Paumier is an Engineering Manager at Scaleway with over 10 years of experience in networking, cloud, and DevOps. He combines strong technical expertise with team leadership, while remaining hands-on. He values cross-functional collaboration and a product-focused mindset. YOUR DAILY ROUTINE : Tasks: -Contribute to the architecture and API design of new features -Develop and optimize features across Load Balancer and Edge Services stacks -Participate in refactoring efforts and bug resolution - Write and maintain unit and functional tests -Ensure the reliability and performance of services in production -Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines -Improve observability through monitoring, alerting, and logging -Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and Packer - Review code and participate actively in team rituals - Document features and internal processes ABOUT YOU: SOFTSKILLS : - Team player: collaborative mindset and knowledge sharing -Strong communication skills -Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities -Rigorous and humble -Curious and eager to learn HARDSKILLS : -Strong experience in backend development with Golang -Deep understanding of DevOps principles and tooling (GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform)-Understanding of Network concepts (and protocols such as TCP, TLS, DNS) and infrastructure services (Load Balancer, WAF, caching) -Experience working with PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, gRPC/protobuf -Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT SCALEWAY ++++- Hybrid work: We offer up to 3 days of remote work per week. - Offices: Our offices are spacious, dynamic workspaces with bold design, conveniently located near public transport.
