Claims Lead France (Hybrid, 80% - 100%)

You will support the implementation of the Global Claims "North Star" vision to build the innovative Claims Organization of the future - You will lead and thrive in a pay-for-performance culture and be comfortable measuring your team’s outcomes against established metrics.
Day to day responsibilities will include the management of a small and nimble team that delivers best in class Claims services as well as developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key brokers and business stakeholders. You will ensure future of our French businesses and portfolios, adherence with Global frameworks and localize them into French context, you safeguard claims governance, guidelines and policy, you are an active advocate for counter-fraud, vendor and subrogation management, as well as oversight of large and Cat losses (assisted by our technical excellence team).
As a data enabled company, we are very keen on developing our data & analytics capabilities to provide both insights and portfolio-level trends to customers, and to optimize performance of our underwriting; skills in that area are an additional asset.
About the Team
In this role you will report into the Swiss Re Corporate Solution Head of Claims Management Unit for Europe based in Frankfurt. Your role will have about 4 direct reports based in Paris office. You will be the internal and external strategic "face" and advocate of the claims organization within your territories, capable of not just delivering Claims Services that retains our valued customers, but you also have an entrepreneurial mindset to showcase Swiss Re's claims capabilities to help us secure to win new business and deliver on our CorSo growth ambitions.
About You
Insurance claims leadership expertise and market knowledge (10+ years minimum) - Excellent reputation with French Customers and brokers in the corporate insurance market.
Passion for customer service and customer centric claim handling. Demonstrated ability to champion teamwork and collaboration whilst driving performance.
People leadership and management skills with the ability to demonstrate high level of credibility and performance in previous roles.
Ability and experience in dealing with multiple partners with diverging needs.
Innovation, continuous improvement mind set, with willingness to challenge processes and systems to the benefit of claims teams, customers, and partners.
Expertise in operational management/development, governance, Counter Fraud, Vendor Management, Subrogation programs an asset.
Experience in using data to monitor and manage a claims portfolio against key performance indicators, ensuring targets are met / exceeded or implementing strategies for continuous improvement
Affinity to innovative technologies and data & analytics a big plus.
Forward-thinking, intellectually curious approach to everything you do; continually learning from a variety of sources.
Proficient in written and spoken French & English is a must. University degree or equivalent professional experience. Legal degree and/or insurance qualifications are equally beneficial.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong people skills.
Flexibility to travel as required.
For France, the base salary range for this position is between 72,000 EUR and 108,000 EUR for a full-time role.
The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
• In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
