What is Finary?

We are on a mission to give power back to investors . Great financial guidance has always existed, it just came with a minimum net worth. We're changing that by building the AI-powered one-stop shop for investing, where you can track your assets, manage your budget, invest, and learn. One simple, ambitious idea drives us: put a private banker in everyone's pocket.

Why now?

A new generation of investors is emerging: ambitious, involved, done with taboos around money. We see a world where investing empowers everybody to live the life they've always dreamt of. To fuel that, we raised €40M from Hedosophia, Y Combinator, and Speedinvest, alongside founders and operators like Steve Anavi & Alexandre Prot (Qonto), Matthieu Rouif (Photoroom), Eric Demuth (Bitpanda), Axel Weber (former UBS Chairman), and Harsh Sinha (CTO at Wise).

In July 2026, the AMF granted us our MiCA license, on top of our Investment Firm license: one of the very few French platforms holding both, offering stocks, ETFs and crypto on a single regulated platform, right as Europe consolidates around licensed players. The opportunity

An operator processes work. An orchestrator builds the system that processes it. Operations team at Finary is mid-way between the two, and moving the whole team across is what this role leads. This is operating financial products, not answering tickets: wealth aggregation and investment, each in its own regulatory frame, each one someone's money. Exact compliance and an excellent client experience, at the same time. At this volume, only a system holds both.

Finary is the leading personal finance app in France, 1M+ users tracking their wealth, Series B funded, and expanding into regulated investment products. We move fast and need operations to move with us. We scale with systems, not with headcount, which is why this seat exists now.

What you'll do

• Lead by building: most of your week is in the machine, shipping the systems your team runs on. Leading by example here isn't being fastest in the queue; it's that what they use on Monday is something you built.

• Raise the ceiling, not the throughput: coaching isn't case review. It's whether the person who solved something once turned it into a rule the system now runs without them, and whether they can do it again, harder, next quarter.

• Turn the signal around: an event happens at the source: a sync breaks, a provider blocks a withdrawal, a compliance file stalls. Today we learn it from the client. Which events we read at the source, on what threshold we act, and what a client hears before they've noticed anything is yours to design.

• Decide what a human still touches: that line moves every quarter. Drawing it, defending it, and telling the team which part of their work is moving to the machine is your call and your conversation.

• Build the operating system with the whole company in it: Product, Engineering, Compliance. How operations run isn't a side tool bolted onto one team; you design it with them, in the same room, rather than filing requests into someone else's backlog.

• Set the bar for how Finary feels: when a client reaches a human, the stakes are already high. You own the quality of that moment across the team, and you hold it as the automation takes more of the volume.

Your weeks: 60% building: the systems, rules and agents your team runs on, plus the client files you take yourself. 40% coaching: making five people capable of things they couldn't do a quarter ago. Measured by what they ship without you, not by what you unblock.

What we're looking for

• You've led a small team: and can point to what each person could do a year later that they couldn't before.

• You still build with your own hands, recently: internal tools, automations, agents that people used every day. Not sponsored, not specced for engineering. Built.

• You use AI as a team multiplier: and can show what you made a team capable of with it, not only yourself.

• You investigate ambiguous problems and make the fix reusable: turning a solution into something the system runs, not a note in a doc.

• You're comfortable with APIs, data flows, and frontend/backend logic: you don't need to code, but you need to understand what you're automating and argue with an engineer as a peer.

• You hold a standard in a room without needing authority to do it , and communicate with clarity and empathy when the stakes are high.

• You care how a client feels after an interaction: not just whether the case was resolved.

• Fluent French and English.

• Nice to have: Exposure to regulated environments (banking, insurance, crypto)

This role is not for you if you lead through process and reporting rather than through what you ship; you'd measure this team by cases closed or headcount grown; you see automating your team's work as a threat to manage rather than the mandate; or you need a playbook to exist before you can operate.

Interviews

Interviews with French-speaking candidates are held in French. As an international company, we expect a working level of English, which we test during the screening call.
