Join a collaborative commercial, sourcing, and procurement legal team supporting a broad range of business functions in a collegial and supportive environment.

What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial and procurement agreements, including IT (MSAs, SaaS), consulting, licensing, NDAs, service agreements, SOWs, PoCs, research/funding, sponsorship, and contract variations.
• Provide legal support for French-law and global sourcing/procurement contracts.
• Advise business teams such as Marketing, Sustainability, Risk Consulting and others.
• Maintain and update contract templates and support the team’s SharePoint site.
• Deliver general commercial law advice and collaborate with APAC/EU (re)insurance lawyers and AXA Group colleagues.
• Work with subject-matter experts in data privacy, information security, operational resilience, tax, finance, and others.
• Monitor legal developments affecting commercial and contract law in France, including DORA and AI-related regulations.
• Assist with managing external legal firms and alternative legal service providers.
• Report to the Associate General Counsel, Global Procurement and Projects.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts, including cross-border matters.
• Familiarity with DORA, AI regulation and regulatory issues a plus.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills (French and English); high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload proactively and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communicator able to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international financial services environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and prioritization skills.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality internal client service.
• Curious, proactive and willing to challenge the status quo.
• Resilient, adaptable and calm under pressure.
• Strong relationship-building skills and credibility with demanding client groups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams; experience with AI tools is a plus.
