Consolidation Expert

The Consolidation Expert will be responsible for preparing AXA Group Operations mother company consolidated accounts submitted to AXA Group headquarters (Group consolidation and Group controlling) in accordance with IFRS standards. He/she will ensure accurate and timely analysis of financial statements and will also coordinate budgeting and forecasting phases with different stakeholders (Controlling, Accounting, etc). This division drives and monitors Group Operations strategic plan, sets budgets and efficiency targets, follows up and controls actuals versus budget targets, while providing timely, accurate and adequate financial information to enable thorough decision-making and ensuring compliance with local regulations.Our main missions:Drive and monitor AXA GO strategic plan, budgets and efficiency targets. Track and control actuals compared to budget targetsEstablish and maintain cost accounting for AXA GODefine mechanisms for cost recharging to Entities, set rules to account for the financial implications of services provided, and monitor cash managementPrepare and provide financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensure adherence to local and international tax regulationsCoordinate and manage M&A projects (divestitures, internal transfer, business transfer) at AXA GO levelOur division is composed of several departments with respective accountabilities:ControllingCommercial FinanceAccountingCorporate FinanceFinance TransformationWithin the Accounting Department, Accounting Consolidation team gathers IFRS Consolidation, Operational Accounting and Central Treasury. The Consolidation Expert will be the key point of contact for IFRS Consolidation topics.About the jobMain missionsYour responsibilities include:Prepare quarterly consolidated figures from statutory accounts: extraction of general trial balances from SAP S/4HANA and perform appropriate IFRS restatements in Excel Submit AXA Group Operations consolidated figures to the GroupMake sure a full audit-trail is available to explain statutory to IFRS reporting differencesManage the whole quarterly closing process and analyze actual P&L/balance-sheet versus forecast and explain variancesManage intercompany reporting follow-up and reconciliation processPrepare supporting materials for management presentations to AXA GroupHandle all requests coming from Group Consolidation and Group Controlling teamsEnsure financial statements compliance with Group Accounting policies and memos Support the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive report elaboration;Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting if required;Build a consolidation level covering all AXA Group Operations entitiesExpected skills & experienceWe are looking for someone with the following experience and skills: ExperienceA minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Consolidation, Accounting, Auditing with a strong background or understanding of consolidation topicsExperience working with general ledger systems (S/4HANA for example) is strongly appreciatedFirst experience within a Big 4 Company preferred but not mandatoryTechnical skillsSolid knowledge of consolidation techniques under IFRS standardsUnderstanding of general accounting principles and policiesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint SAP BFC Financial Consolidation (Magnitude) already used in past experiencesFluent English and FrenchSoft skills / transversal skillsDemonstrating the following capabilities would be advantageous in this position:Attention to details to prepare financial statements and reportingsPrioritize and organize its own work to meet strict deadlinesWork well under pressure and effectively handle multiple demandsCommunicate clear and concise ideas both written and verbalTake initiative to identify improvement areas and implement corrective measures Discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive informationTeam spirit and strong collaboration skillsWhat we offerWe bring together the expertise, cultural diversity and creativity of over 8,000 employees worldwide and we’re committed to equal opportunities in all aspects of employment (gender, LGBT+, disabled persons, or people of different origins) and to promoting Diversity & Inclusion by creating a work environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect, and where individual differences are valued.
