Senior Test Automation Manager (f/m/d) in Paris or Leipzig (part-/full-time)

Your tasks

In this role of a Senior Test Automation Manager (f/m/d) you will ensure comprehensive test coverage, drive automation-first principles, and validate system performance to enable a seamless migration to our next-generation trading infrastructure. You will be an active player in delivering to our test strategy and will define priorities based on risk and performance benchmarks, ensuring alignment with functional requirements and regulatory standards. Working closely with business stakeholders and development teams, you will maintain and enhance test tooling and automation frameworks for acceptance and integration testing.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating user acceptance testing with external customers and vendors, managing integration testing across multiple systems, and overseeing defect lifecycle management. You will monitor and report on test execution, providing clear metrics on coverage, defects, and production readiness. Additionally, you will maintain transparent, production-like environments and support performance testing by defining KPIs and benchmarking results. You bring along

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience, ideally in the area of capital markets and exchange trading
• Expertise in API testing, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration
• Familiarity with performance testing methodologies for data-intensive and time-critical applications
• Strong understanding of risk-based testing and quality assurance best practices
• Understanding of underlying network technologies such as TCP/IP, UDP, REST, MQ, WebSocket, Protobuf, JSON, XML, TLS/SSL
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards related to trading systems is a plus
• Ability to work in a team and independently, ability to take responsibility, strong communication skills, and a can-do attitude
• Experience in project management or leading cross-functional teams is a plus
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices
• High proficiency in English
