Your key responsibilities as the Senior VAT Consultant
The responsibilities encompass the preparation, review, and submission of Indirect Tax returns across various jurisdictions, including VAT, ECSL, and Intrastat. Additionally, the role involves advising international clients on VAT and International Tax matters, identifying tax optimisation opportunities, and evaluating client operations. Collaboration with senior teams is essential for planning and structuring tax operations, as well as managing VAT recovery and refund processes in foreign jurisdictions.
Requirements
Candidates should have 4-5 years of experience in the tax department of a large corporation, tax office, or tax consultancy. A Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential, along with a strong technical understanding of VAT. Additionally, candidates should possess knowledge of customs, excise taxes, and international direct taxation.
