Our company is on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead a dedicated Chapter of approximately 15 talented Engineers and join our skillful team. In our dynamic scale-up environment, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering culture and processes. We operate within a modern matrix structure, where your engineers are embedded in cross-functional Squads to deliver impactful features, but look to you, their Chapter Lead, for career growth, mentorship, and technical guidance. This is a key leadership position where you will be responsible for the personal and professional development of your team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You'll ensure high standards of engineering excellence while empowering your team to achieve their full potential. This role is crucial for scaling our engineering organization effectively and maintaining a healthy, high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a chapter of approximately 15 engineers, focusing on their career development, performance management, and overall well-being.
- Drive the hiring, onboarding, and training processes for new engineers within your chapter to support our company's growth.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance, fostering high standards for code quality, architectural design, and operational excellence across the squads.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, other Engineering Managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic goals and effective resource allocation within the matrix structure.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture, and continuously improve engineering processes, practices, and tools to enhance productivity and quality.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and feedback sessions to support individual growth and team success.
