Practice Area

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group's existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients' total digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion's interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

What You'll Do

• 0-7 years of experience in IT consulting, system integration, or technology delivery within the banking or insurance sector, or within a top-tier consultancy or tech company.
• Solid understanding of core banking and insurance IT landscapes, and exposure to modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise architecture topics.
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with cloud migration, target architecture definition, system integration, data platforms, or process digitalization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset - able to structure complex technology challenges and propose actionable, value-driven solutions.
• Collaborative and communicative, capable of working with both business and IT stakeholders to align strategy, architecture, and execution.
• Curious and motivated to develop expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, etc.), IT operating models, and transformation planning in complex financial environments.
• Entrepreneurial attitude - ownership, initiative, and contribution to internal and client-facing innovation activities.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, fostering client trust and team collaboration.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business/Finance with a strong interest in technology, and strong academic performance.
