Technical Data Analyst/Data & AI Platform Specialist

We are looking for a Technical Data Analyst / Data & AI Platform Specialist to explore and analyse data across our data platform. The role identifies opportunities for new business capabilities, analytical solutions and platform enhancements, and contributes to the design, specification and delivery of new data products, reporting, AI-enabled solutions and platform services. The work supports automation, data quality, data asset enrichment and faster business value from data.

Responsibilities

Analyse business and technical requirements to define new reporting, analytics and data product capabilities.

Design and specify datasets, semantic models, KPIs and Power BI reporting that support business objectives.

Validate data structures, transformations and business rules for new data products.

Define and implement AI use cases on the Microsoft Fabric platform, such as anomaly detection, reconciliation, classification, metadata enrichment and semantic search.

Design and deliver AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft AI tools and Claude, and build reusable AI services and accelerators.

Produce functional specifications, technical design documents, prototypes and implementation artefacts.

Define data quality, lineage and control requirements for new platform capabilities.

Collaborate with business analysts, SMEs, data engineers and architects to translate requirements into platform enhancements.

Skills

Must have

At least 10 years of experience in BI, data product delivery and data platform architecture.

Advanced SQL and data analysis skills.

Hands-on experience with Power BI, semantic modelling and KPI design.

Experience writing functional specifications and technical design artefacts, and working across the full project cycle (specification, design, development, testing).

Hands-on experience designing and delivering AI-enabled data solutions with Microsoft Copilot and Anthropic’s Claude.

Strong understanding of data quality, governance, metadata and data management principles.

Excellent written and verbal communication in English or French, with working knowledge of the other.

Nice to have

Experience with Microsoft Fabric specifically.

Ability to identify functional and technical data gaps and propose platform enhancements.

Experience creating reusable analytical or AI assets used across several business domains.

Experience analysing data platform architecture, data flows and integration patterns to define future-state capabilities.

Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
