Practice Area

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group's existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients' total digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion's interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Solution Architect, you will be part of a dynamic consulting team driving the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to shape architectures that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client objectives. This is an opportunity to deepen your architectural skills while contributing to impactful digital transformation projects across diverse industries.

What you will do

• Participate in the design and implementation of application and solution architectures for complex information systems.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical designs in collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and development teams.
• Assess our client technological stacks and ways of working for the development process (Agile framework, devOps process and solutions...)
• Contribute to technology assessments, proof of concepts, and the definition of target architectures (cloud, microservices, APIs, or integration platforms).
• Support project teams by reviewing solution designs, ensuring architectural consistency, and promoting best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
• Document architectures and key design decisions using standard modeling tools and frameworks.
• Work within agile delivery teams and actively collaborate with senior architects to evolve your expertise and architectural approach.

What You'll Bring

• 0 to 5 years of experience in software engineering or solution design, ideally within consulting, IT services, or technology-driven environments.
• Strong technical foundation in modern software development (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, REACT or similar ) and understanding of integration patterns (APIs, messaging, µ-services).
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and interest in modern architectural paradigms such as microservices, containers, and DevOps practices.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to connect business challenges to technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills - you can engage confidently with both developers and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (French or another European language is a plus).
• A proactive, curious attitude and a genuine desire to learn from experienced architects and contribute to meaningful client projects.
