We're looking for a Data Science Manager to lead and grow the team behind our AI Agent at Gorgias. In this role, you'll drive high-impact, cross-functional projects that directly influence our product experience and revenue. You'll combine technical depth with project leadership to help scale one of the most advanced e-commerce customer support platforms in the world.

About the Team

You'll join our Conversational AI team , a group of Engineers, ML experts, Product Managers, and Designers working together to automate customer service at scale. Our AI Agent now handles over 1 million automated interactions every month , helping thousands of merchants better serve their shoppers.

The Data Science team builds the intelligence behind the agent, designing experiments, optimizing performance, and enabling data-driven decisions that shape our product direction.

What You'll Do

• Lead and prioritize multiple cross-functional projects in data science, machine learning, and product experimentation
• Manage capacity planning and align work across Engineering, Product, and Design teams
• Drive LLM evaluation strategies , prompt engineering workflows, and model experimentation
• Analyze large-scale product and model performance data to improve user outcomes and revenue impact
• Guide the team in developing scalable tools and metrics for ongoing testing, iteration, and success tracking
• Act as a technical and strategic leader , supporting team growth, hiring, and mentoring

• What We're Looking For

• Experience managing data science or applied ML teams , especially in a product-driven environment
• Proven ability to balance and deliver on multiple high-impact projects at once
• Strong background in LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and experimentation design
• Comfort working with large datasets, deriving insights, and communicating them clearly
• Collaborative mindset and ability to drive alignment across Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in ecommerce, SaaS, or conversational AI
• Familiarity with customer support platforms or merchant tools
