Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals, Dioxycle has the potential to ultimately reduce over 800 million tons of CO2 per year , representing over 2% of the world's emissions.

At the core of our process is a novel "carbon electrolyzer", a machine capable of using just electricity and water to convert carbon emissions back into valuable everyday essential chemicals. Our team is innovating across chemical, mechanical and system engineering to turn carbon transformation into an economically feasible, industrial reality through this completely novel technological approach. Having completed our medium-scale Proof-of-Concept electrolyzer, we are now working towards a first-of-its-kind large-scale industrial prototype and are assembling key partnerships for future commercial roll-out.

Your Mission

Dioxycle is developing an in-house platform to control lab-scale electrolyzers and industrial prototypes in its different facilities and collect the data they produce. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take full responsibility of the development and maintenance of this platform which is used daily by our engineers, playing a crucial role in supporting our mission of abating CO2 emissions by turning them into products we use every day.

In this capacity, your responsibilities will center around:

- Full stack development : develop our control system software (Python, React [TypeScript], PostgreSQL, C, etc.);

- Data engineering : put in place scalable ETL processes for our experimental and production data, develop data dashboards to support the R&D team analyses

- DevOps : develop a CI/CD process, manage our local and cloud infrastructure (AWS)

Abilities and expertise we are looking for

• Full stack web development experience with Python and React (TypeScript) (minimum of 2 years experience but beyond that, proven track record, talent & mindset matters more than years of experience alone);
• Data engineering expertise: SQL, python, building scalable data pipelines;
• Some DevOps experience (especially AWS);
• Highly collaborative, problem solving oriented;
• Product culture/mindset;
• Any data science experience is a plus, but not a requirement;
• Excited to work onsite in Paris (Saint-Ouen) full-time (occasional work from home): we are an industrial deeptech start-up who are all onsite everyday driving our super fast R&D iteration cycles through experimentation.

Our process

• Intro call with our Senior Software Engineer, Armin (30 mins)
• Initial discussion (30 mins) with Head of People to discuss Dioxycle's mission, get to know you, and answer your questions
• 90-min technical workshop including a presentation of your career and skillset followed by questions and case studies with our team
• 45-min Cofounder interview with Sarah, Cofounder & CEO
• A final on-site series of interviews and an opportunity to meet the team
• A series of reference calls with provided contacts
