Our climate suite combines smart data collection with intuitive automation, helping companies measure, reduce, and report their emissions with ease — supported at every step by our in-house climate experts.

More than 3,500 companies in 20+ countries use Greenly to manage their climate strategy: from carbon assessments and life-cycle analyses to SBTi trajectories and compliance with CSRD and CBAM.

We are now a team of 200+ people from 40+ nationalities , based in Paris, London, Barcelona, and New York.

To date, we’ve tracked over 200 million tons of CO₂ through our platform. Our next milestone: 10,000 clients and one billion tons of CO2 under management .

ESG Squad

We have noticed a frustrating paradox: the people hired to drive corporate sustainability spend almost all their time doing compliance paperwork. Our squad exists to fix this. We are building a frictionless reporting engine, linked directly to our core GHG capabilities, that takes the heavy lifting out of ESG data collection.

We want to flip the script. By researching innovative ways to integrate with existing company processes and using AI to its fullest potential, we are stripping away the tedious reporting work. When we do our jobs right, ESG teams get their time back, time they can redirect into creating concrete, high-impact climate action plans. In this squad, the code you write directly translates into fewer hours spent on compliance, and more hours spent decarbonizing the economy.

About the role

As a Software Engineer within our Product team , you will join a cross-functional squad composed of 2 full-stack developers and collaborate with UX designers .

More precisely, you will guide your team towards:

Efficient delivery:

Through specifications, reviews, and pair programming, you will ensure that the team delivers efficiently and follows best practices, with code merged daily to iterate on our codebase.

A successful product:

You will contribute to product outcomes by understanding user needs, implementing improvements, and learning how we measure impact (quality, reliability, and adoption) with the support of your squad.

️ Fast bug resolution and high-quality user experience:

Through monitoring of server performance, feedback, and bugs, you will make sure to provide the best experience to our users.

Professional growth:

You will be supported by Senior Management and the engineers of your squad. Through regular feedback, pair programming, and code reviews, you will grow your skills and progressively gain autonomy and ownership.

Skills to succeed

Software Engineering: You have initial professional experience as a software engineer (internship, apprenticeship, or first full-time role) and have developed your professional skills during 2-5 years.

Stack Knowledge: Good knowledge of TypeScript/React and willingness to learn.

AI Integration : You are curious about integrating tools to power innovative AI features and simplify the work of our customers. This is both for using AI, LLM and agents in your algorithms and the code produce and using AI tools (Claude/Cursor/Gemini/ and many more) to boost your productivity.

Start-Up Spirit: You have already experienced working as a software engineer in a start-up or scale-up company . Delivering fast and cutting the corner to find the most efficient solution with little time to plan is what will make you really successful. As everything evolves fast, you need to be confortable working in uncertainty and adapting to evolving conditions.

Team Player: You want to contribute to a team and make it succeed.

Ambition: You are eager to learn new skills and have strong ambition for yourself. You have proven this through highly demanding studies .

Language: You are fluent in English . French is a plus.

Passion & Curiosity: You are passionate about working in the field of ESG, Sustainability, Carbon, etc.

The recruitment process
