Le Wagon is scaling fast, and our Finance team is at the heart of that journey. We’re now hiring a Junior General Accountant to help support our global financial operations.

Your Mission:

As a Junior General Accountant, you will contribute to the production of the financial statements for our Spanish and Portuguese campuses and will also provide support to our French subsidiaries. You will contribute to the reliability and compliance of the Group's financial information, under the direct supervision of the Head of Accounting.

You will collaborate closely with the Senior General Accountant and the Campus Managers and act as a key point of contact for employees on invoicing matters.

Your Mission is in 4 areas :

Accounting Production:

• Manage the full accounting cycle for 2 campuses, from bookkeeping to monthly and annual financial statements.
• Support the accounting activities of our French when required.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in compliance with internal accounting policies.
• Carry out account matching and maintain accurate, up-to-date ledgers.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

Invoice Management & Employee Support:

• Review and validate all invoices submitted by employees through our invoicing SaaS platform.
• Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and correct allocation of expenses.

Process and Compliance:

• Conduct regular process audits to ensure accounting and operational compliance.
• Identify, report, and help implement improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the Senior General Accountant for day-to-day operations.
• Partner with Campus Managers to ensure accurate financial data collection and recording.
• Support external audits by preparing required reports and reconciliations.

This role is for you if you have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Min Bac+3)
• A first professional experience (internship or apprenticeship) in accounting or audit
• A first experience in using an accounting software such as Sage or ODOO
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite
• A rigorous and conscientious way of working
• Professional proficiency in French and English (other languages a plus)
• A detailed mindset and enjoy working on international teams
