YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within the GIE, you will join Group Finance which ensures the delivery of financial performance of the business as per the targets; manages capital, liquidity, M&A, investments and investors’ relationship; is in charge of budget, forecasting and reporting (in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks); manages the Group’s tax position and litigations.

More specifically, you will be part of the Group Finance Transformation & Operating department.

The overall objective of the Group Finance Transformation & Operating Office department is to continuously improve how Finance teams operate, with three overarching targets: (i) better serve the business, (ii) boost and motivate teams by simplifying processes and modernizing tools and (iii) increase our effectiveness, both in terms of time and costs. Three teams compose the department, working closely together:

  • Data Operations & Innovation team encompasses (i) all activities related to data operations and services to finance teams through the continuous development and support of actuarial tools, analytics & reporting, investments’ forecasting tool… and (ii)
  • Heads of Implementation are in charge of leading and monitoring the implementation of the transformation program Ovide
  • The Strategic Transformation team supports transversally the monitoring of expenses for both BAU and Ovide program and provides PMO and change management expertise to (i) manage the pace of the program and delivery of transformation plan on time and budget and (ii) define the needs to conduct change in finance teams in collaboration with HR

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

You will have three teams under management, covering the following scope of activities:

  • Data Culture & Governance, and AI is responsible for defining and deploying the 'HQ Data & AI' strategy as well as leading the Data & AI transformation by leveraging key foundations already in place or under construction, such as (i) data governance and data quality programs using Collibra for data lineage across all Group functions and all AXA entities within the Solvency 2 framework; and (ii) the deployment of Generative AI use cases across all support functions.
  • Data Operations Accounting, Controlling & Reporting : responsible for the tools, data model, projects, and processes supporting the group closing process transversally. The activities are organized around four areas: (i) actuarial tools, (ii) support for general and third-party accounting (strong interactions with entities and AXA GO), (iii) support for consolidation and transversal projects, and (iv) reporting tools.
  • Data Operations Investment & Risk mission is to develop an efficient operating model with global data, reporting solutions, and tools. This includes (i) leading, coordinating, and implementing the Dune solution (i.e., multi-GAAP investment earning forecasting) across 11 AXA entities and (ii) leading, coordinating, and maintaining the Pi2 solution for N AXA entities and N Group departments.

Given the recent transfer and merge of these teams, one key objective will be to make the teams work well together and create a strong belonging mindset.

Your main duties will cover both Business as Usual (BAU) and Ovide activities:

  • BAU
    • Providing insights and information to pass necessary strategic or technical gates
    • Implement strategies to optimize financial processes and systems and create synergies to enhance financial operational efficiency and effectiveness
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g AXA GO, other finance teams…) to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within finance and related areas.

  • As part of Ovide program, the Data Operations & Innovation team supports the implementation of initiatives. Your role includes:
    • Driving finance operational transformation and innovation initiatives across the organization by ensuring both local & central implementation and tracking the implementation roadmap
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g AXA GO, other finance teams…), as well as the Heads of implementation and the Strategic transformation team, to (i) make the implementation of Ovide initiatives a success with on time and on budget delivery and (ii) provide content and strategic support to senior management on transformation and innovation initiatives
    • Overlooking the investment and savings per Ovide initiative together with expense manager and entities
    • Supporting the Finance Chief Transformation and Operating Officer in securing the overall investment and savings of the transformation program

Background, level of experience (number of years required)

  • Requires 20+ years of experience in leading transformation teams and programs in finance / insurance sector
