Salary: €3,500 – €4,000 gross/month (negotiable depending on experience)

Tips: approx. €400–€800/month net (varies by unit)

Start Date: Immediate / within 3 months (depending on restaurant opening schedule)

Quarterly bonus (approx. 40% of salary)

​​​​We are seeking experienced Head Chefs to join a fast-growing Italian restaurant group operating high-volume, casual dining concepts across Sweden. With 14 restaurants in Sweden and 1 in Spain , the group is expanding rapidly with approximately 6 new restaurant openings per year across different countries — an excellent opportunity for leaders who want to grow.Concepts include Pizza / Fresh Pasta / Modern Italian with strong operational structure, consistency standards, and team leadership culture.

About the Role

The Head Chef is responsible for complete kitchen ownership: people, standards, systems, and results. The role requires certified knowledge of allergens and ingredients through Mapal training to ensure guest safety and compliance. This role ensures that the kitchen delivers consistent food quality, operates within budget, and develops a strong, professional team culture aligned with UIG standards and brand expectations. Location

​​​​​ This role is based in Sweden , with current openings across multiple cities including:Stockholm, Gävle, Jönköping, Västerås

Priority placement: Jönköping, Stockholm, Gävle

Final assignment is based on urgency and best fit.

​​​​​​​Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership & Ownership

  1. Own full kitchen performance across all services
  2. Set expectations for standards, behaviour, and discipline
  3. Lead by example during prep, service, and operations
  4. Create a stable, professional, and accountable kitchen culture

Food Quality & Standards

  1. Ensure all food meets company standards for taste, presentation, and consistency
  2. Inspect and correct food quality before and during service
  3. Approve recipes, portioning, and execution standards
  4. Develop or update standards where gaps exist

People Management & Development

  1. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop BOH team members
  2. Build strong Sous Chefs and CDPs through coaching and feedback
  3. Address performance issues directly and professionally
  4. Create structure that reduces dependency on individuals

Planning, Cost & Resources

  1. Control food cost, staff cost, and kitchen-related expenses
  2. Plan staffing, prep levels, and resource allocation
  3. Oversee ordering, suppliers, and stock management
  4. Ensure equipment maintenance and operational readiness

Systems, Structure & Compliance

  1. Ensure all kitchen systems, routines, and procedures function effectively
  2. Maintain compliance with hygiene, safety, and legal standards
  3. Ensure documentation, training, and standards are up to date
  4. Oversee third-party delivery operations when applicable

Compliance & Hygiene

  1. Complete and maintain all required Mapal training modules, including Allergens and Ingredients, within assigned timelines
  2. Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleaning standards are followed on the section
  3. Ensure equipment and workstations are maintained correctly
  4. Follow company policies and legal requirements at all times

Communication & Alignment

  1. Align kitchen priorities with GM, FOH, and leadership
  2. Communicate expectations clearly to the team
  3. Represent the kitchen calmly and professionally
  4. Ensure smooth collaboration between departments

What We Are Looking For

  1. ​​​​​​​Previous Italian restaurant experience
  2. 1–3 years previous experience as a Head Chef
  3. Strong kitchen leadership with a calm and structured approach
  4. Able to lead a BOH team of 10–15 staff per unit
  5. Strong English communication skills
  6. High standards of hygiene, consistency, and service execution
  7. ​​​​​​​ Valid European work authorization required
