Lead Developer Azure PaaS - Cybersecurity - Freelance

Context

The AXA Cyber Defense department provides AXA Group with cybersecurity solutions: the teams deliver operational security services to protect, detect, and respond to cyber threats that could impact the AXA Group. Part of it, within the “Network & Messaging product” team, is a web filtering solution to secure and control access to and from the Internet: this solution is entitled Secure Web Access , currently based on Skyhigh vendor. This team is an agile, product-centered group contributing to both operational support and development activities. Development activities are coordinated by project managers, acting as stream leaders within the “Network & Messaging product” team.

The service is currently supporting a project, Secure Web Access Automation (SWA Automation) , aimed at improving service quality through automation of certain processes. A lead developer is sought to develop an in-house automation solution based on Azure PaaS technologies.

Missions

• Finalize the development of the minimum viable product (MVP) of the automation solution based on specifications defined with the product’s technical lead.
• Lead the end-to-end build process for the solution, including:
  • Translating functional specifications into technical solutions.
  • Developing the solution in Python.
  • Setting up and managing the Azure PaaS environment and related components.
  • Coding and performing unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation across solution versions.
• Coordinate with the product technical lead and other technical contributors or auditors.
• Lead the technical onboarding of new project team members.
• Implement security recommendations from AXA Group.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the SWA Automation project manager and product technical lead on Azure PaaS setup, deployment, and versioning strategies.
• Advise on the automation roadmap, lifecycle management, and best practices, including design evolution, monitoring, incident management, testing, deployment, planning, and documentation.
• Contribute proactively to project meetings, workshops, and risk management activities, including highlighting risks and leading resolution actions in collaboration with the product technical lead.

Deliverables

• Automation code and associated artifacts.
• Presentations and reports to project and product stakeholders.
• Technical documentation for the automation solution maintained within Confluence.
• Additional deliverables contributing to the activities described above.

Tools & Environment

• Azure PaaS environment and components such as Azure Key Vaults, Blobs, etc.
• Python development.
• SharePoint and SharePoint list databases.
• PowerApps and PowerAutomate (preferred).
• Web proxy technologies (basic understanding preferred).
• English language proficiency (mandatory).
• Experience in international environments (preferred).
