The team, comprising over 100 professionals in Europe, is rapidly growing and advising clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of private and public debt financings across numerous industries.ScopeThe Debt Capital Solutions team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add an experienced Associate to our team in Paris.The environment at Houlihan Lokey is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Associates are given substantial responsibility and access to clients and investors and are encouraged to help us grow our business.ResponsibilitiesWork as part of lean deal teams on financing advisory mandates, gaining significant exposure to senior team members and clientsSupport on the execution of a variety of different debt transactions in the mid-cap or the large-cap segments including private, public and hybrid loans and public bondsServe as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions including leading selected workstreamsOversee junior team members in the preparation of presentation and transaction materialsSupport senior team members with client dialogue and relationship management – you will be required to present to and hold conversations with senior clients as an essential part of your roleEngage in and manage due diligence processes, including coordinating work by other professional advisorsAssist in analysing and negotiating financing terms and documentation to clientsResearch, monitor and analyse financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions for use in advising clientsBuild and maintain bespoke financial models with support from junior team membersUndertake debt capacity, financial covenant, and credit rating modellingAssist with the wider team's marketing initiativesBuild own network of contacts within active debt investors including banks, credit funds, hedge funds and other alternative lendersContribute to the firm’s Private Equity relationshipsMentor junior analysts, helping to create a collaborative team environmentBasic Qualifications/ RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:a bachelors degree and an excellent academic track record45-5 years of experience on the French market within a Debt Advisory, Leveraged Finance/LBO, Private Creditor similar role within an Investment Bank or Advisory firma demonstrable track record of executing transactions and knowledge of Lender’s credit processexcellent financial modelling and analytical skills, including LBO modellingexperience discussing Term Sheets and Facility Agreementsstrong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitationsexcellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Frenchproven ability to communicate with confidence to persuade, influence and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholdersa strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail and a desire to take the initiativedemonstrable ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment that is rapidly changing and demanding, but ultimately rewarding We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #LI-120331SummaryLocation: Paris, FranceType: Full time
