Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world's hardest problems.

The Framework team is a central resource, working across the organisation with researchers and technicians, and is fundamentally integrated into the workflows. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will also contribute to our core products and drive innovation while building our in-house software which controls the hardware equipment and the experiments that we perform. Working as a technical leader, you will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on development, maintenance and testing of the software components used for scientific development.
• Support other teams to provide software best practices and tools.
• Architect, present, and deploy innovative software components aimed at enhancing the efficiency and automation of critical company workflows.
• Manage code repositories, version control, and oversee software deployment processes to ensure that the latest stable versions are available to scientists.
• Partner effectively with quantum scientists, researchers, and cross-functional colleagues

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Software development.
• Solid experience with Industrial/Commercial Python.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior experience mentoring junior engineers and developers.
• Experience with continuous testing approaches and product development is a plus.
• Experience with automation frameworks is a plus.
• Interest in embedded software is a plus.
• Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.
