What we are looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern in lactation optimisation to join our innovative team. This intern will play a vital role in identifying the best condition to make our cell lactate in vitro. You will gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge start-up lab environment while contributing to our mission to improve infant and specialised nutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting Cell Culture Experiments: You will conduct various cell culture experiments to optimise the lactation condition of our cells in vitro.
• Using Molecular Biology Techniques: You will apply a range of molecular biology techniques to detect and analyse the secreted proteins and cellular profiles, such as ELISA, Western-Blot, RT-qPCR, and Flow Cytometry.
• ‍Documentation and Reporting: You will document experimental procedures, observations to ensure data integrity and traceability and prepare comprehensive reports that convey experimental findings, progress, and potential areas for improvement.
• Support in laboratory and operational tasks
• As a junior member in a small startup your responsibilities will also span lab management, lab duties and helping other team members and more specifically our lab manager Julie in day to day operations.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Master or an Engineering Degree in life sciences, biology, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.
• Currently enrolled in a School/University in which the internship is part of the curriculum (has access to "Convention de Stage")
• Prior experience in cell culture is a plus. Hands-on experience with classic molecular biology techniques such as ELISA, RT-qPCR, Western-Blot is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret experimental data effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being proactive and self-motivated

• We first check that your skills match the expectations
• First technical fit interview with someone from the team
• Second technical case discussion with the Media Development department
• Last fit interview with our CTO Eugénie or CEO Eden (on-site if possible), and meet part of the team, visit the labs & office
