Global Accounting Director

ANINE BING
Paris

ANINE BING is looking for an Global Accounting Director to join our Finance team based in Paris.

This role is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of ANINE BING. As a key contributor within our Paris HQ team, the Accounting & Tax Director brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution to their work — supporting our global growth while staying grounded in the brand's DNA: refined, fast-moving, and always evolving.

We're looking for a senior, hands-on finance leader who thrives in a creative yet performance-driven environment. The ideal candidate combines deep technical accounting and tax expertise with a clear sense of the bigger picture, a strong project management mindset, and a genuine sensitivity to Finance × IT topics (ERP, automation, cross-functional initiatives). They are structured, business-minded, and energized by building scalable internal foundations across a multi-entity, international footprint.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting & Tax Director leads global accounting and tax operations across our directly-managed entities — France, the United Kingdom, the United States and other EU markets — and oversees the partnership with our external advisor in China. A key part of the mission is to build, lead and develop a strong internal accounting team and bring core finance processes in-house as the company scales. The role is expected to operate as a true business partner to all operational departments, not as a back-office function.

This is a hybrid position based at our Paris HQ, with one remote day per week. The role reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Own the global accounting close (monthly, quarterly, annual) across France, the UK, the US and other EU entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with local GAAP and applicable international standards.
  • Define and maintain the Group's accounting policies, internal controls and chart of accounts; lead consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and harmonization across entities.
  • Oversee all corporate tax matters — corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, withholding tax and international tax structuring — in close coordination with external counsel on cross-border topics.
  • Manage statutory audits and annual filings across all jurisdictions; serve as the main interface with external auditors, local tax authorities and our China-based advisor.
  • Build and lead a high-performing internal accounting team (Accounting Manager, Credit Manager, accountants) and drive the gradual in-housing of accounting and tax processes currently handled by external providers.
  • Lead Finance × IT initiatives end-to-end: AP automation, ERP structuring and improvements, and other cross-functional transformation projects supporting the scaling of the finance organization.
  • Partner with the CFO and the Head of Finance on cash management, treasury operations, banking relationships and financial reporting to leadership and shareholders.
  • Act as a true business partner to operational departments, providing clear, actionable financial guidance and fostering trust-based relationships across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and tax, including time in a Big 4 audit firm and at least one in-house leadership role in a multi-entity, international environment.
  • Senior profile with a strong hands-on mindset: comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, ready to dive into the detail when needed.
  • Strong technical command of French GAAP and US GAAP; working knowledge of IFRS. Consolidated reporting experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience building or restructuring internal accounting teams, including in-housing processes previously outsourced.
  • Proven project management mindset and Finance × IT sensitivity: track record of leading ERP, automation or finance transformation initiatives in close partnership with technical teams.
  • Solid corporate tax expertise, including transfer pricing and cross-border structuring in a multi-country setup.
  • Genuine business partner mindset, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with all operational departments.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, e-commerce or consumer goods is a strong plus.
  • Fluent English required; French is a strong asset. Comfortable operating across time zones with a US-based leadership team.

Benefits & Perks

  • At ANINE BING Paris, we combine creative ambition with a people-first culture. Expect generous time off (including RTT), a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week, exclusive discounts on our collections, and private sales access — so you can live the brand as much as you build it.
  • Style Perks: Enjoy a generous employee discount and seasonal wardrobe allotments — so you can live the brand, not just represent it.
  • Performance Bonus: Eligibility for an annual performance bonus of 10% of base salary, tied to close quality, team development and strategic deliverables.
