Founded in 2023 by Antoine and Paul-Adrien , Spiko gives SMEs, non-profits, financial advisers and fintechs access to institutional-grade cash management, via app or API. We are building the full infrastructure: issuing, operating, and distributing the products ourselves.

Two years after launch, we serve thousands of organizations across Europe and process hundreds of millions of euros in flows every month.

The role

Engineers own product decisions at Spiko. We call this role the Product Engineer : an engineer who owns a feature end to end.

You are given a problem to solve and full ownership of how to solve it. You own the scoping, the architecture decisions, the implementation and the production release.

As a Senior Product Engineer, you also own one of Spiko's business areas: you are its main architect and the default reviewer of every PR inside it. You mentor more junior team members and help them grow their skills.

Who we're looking for

Requirements (must haves):

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer

• Excellent architecture and domain-modelling skills, and the habit of writing decisions down

• Fluent with AI coding tools, with your energy going into product and architecture decisions

• Product judgment: you enjoy talking to users, you know what to build and what to cut, and you can explain why

• Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment

• Curious, pragmatic, and eager to learn

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech, capital markets, Web3, or other highly regulated environments

• Prior product ownership as a founder, a PM or the de facto product owner of your team

• Hands-on experience with Effect or functional programming in TypeScript

Our hiring process

1. Screening Interview - 30 min screening call with Talent Acquisition

2. Hiring Manager Interview - 30 min with Nicolas, Tech Lead

3. 1h coding interview with an engineer from the team (remote)

4. 1h product interview with a senior member of the product team (remote)

5. 2h system design interview with two engineers from the team (in person)

6. Final in-person Interviews with the Founders
