Junior Group Leader

The Leukemia Institute Paris Saint-Louis launches an international call to recruit junior research group leaders interested to work in the field of leukemia or pre-leukemic disorders.

The Leukemia Institute Paris Saint-Louis is a leading scientific institute located in central Paris alongside French top hospitals for leukemia care, notably Saint-Louis hospital. The Institute is dedicated to understanding and treating leukemia and it fosters a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment with 16 research groups, 14 clinical services or clinical biology laboratories. The Institute hosts one of Europe's largest leukemia patient cohorts, and ensures access to samples and cutting-edge clinical trials led by top investigators.

The Leukemia Institute Paris Saint-Louis closely integrates clinical care, basic and translational research, valorisation and dissemination activities.

The junior group leader position offers a competitive international recruitment package starting from 1 million euros, including salary, a substantial contribution to running costs, personal and equipment. The laureate(s) will also have access to internal calls. Facilities, including offices and laboratory, will be available to accommodate a team of approximately five members as a start.

Required Qualifications:

The Scientific Advisory Board of the Leukemia Institute Paris Saint-Louis will oversee the selection process based on the following criteria:

• Ability to lead a research program of high risk/high gain projects, supported by a track record of publications and grants. The candidates must meet all criteria to compete for national and international research funding.

• Strong ability to collaborate with fundamental or clinical research teams.

PhD or MD/PhD candidates with no permanent position in France may also apply to the ERC and/or French ATIP/Avenir programs and/or to French institutional research/teaching positions (CNRS, INSERM, Université Paris Cité).
