Mission

Join us as our Legal Intern – Corporate and M&A to get hands-on exposure to high-stakes M&A deals and corporate governance work inside one of Europe's fastest-scaling fintechs.

Impact

As the Legal Intern – Corporate and M&A, you'll have a 360° legal view of Qonto's corporate and M&A activity. You'll work closely with Djesia, our Head of Legal for Corporate, Governance and M&A, and partner regularly with Finance, People, Risk, Regulatory, Compliance, Internal Control, and Strategic Projects teams.

➡️ What you'll do

• Support day-to-day general corporate matters, including preparing shareholders' meetings and board meetings
• Draft and monitor BSPCE documentation, including periodic allocation tracking for employee equity schemes
• Contribute across the full M&A lifecycle, from audit to closing, drafting transaction documents such as share purchase agreements, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, and ancillary documents
• Help build and improve internal legal processes and tools
• Carry out legal research on corporate matters and support the Legal team's daily activity

➡️ What we're looking for

• Experience: a prior internship or apprenticeship in an international law firm, bank, or fintech, with real exposure to droit des sociétés and M&A work specifically, not just adjacent corporate or compliance tasks
• Academic background: Master's student in Corporate/Business Law in France; being enrolled at a Bar School (EFB or equivalent) for a January start, a dual degree with a business school or Sciences Po, or an international LLM are all a plus
• Communication and rigor: strong oral and written communication, good diplomacy, and solid organizational and analytical skills
• Mindset: curious, adaptable, proactive and reliable — you take ownership of what's assigned to you and know when to flag something up rather than sit on it; comfortable using AI tools day-to-day
• Languages: French and fluent English required

You'll work closely with Djesia , Head of Legal – Corporate/M&A. Djesia has spent 15+ years advising French and international clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, acting as lead counsel on M&A, LBO and strategic corporate matters at Dentons and Franklin Law Firm, including a secondment as M&A Senior Legal Counsel at TotalEnergies. Her approach: manage deals end-to-end with pragmatic, business-oriented advice, and lead with rigor while mentoring the team along the way.
