YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Within the Group, you will join the Group Underwriting Office department which brings together high level and multidisciplinary staff with head of lines of business, actuaries and financials split between Paris, Zürich and Madrid.

Within this Department, you will be part of the team P&C Commercial team and more specifically the P&C Sustainability underwriting team who is leading the Sustainability Underwriting strategy and coordinating entities efforts and contributions.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

Within Group Underwriting Office Property&Casualty, reporting to the Head of Sustainability Underwriting, you will support the integration of AXA climate and sustainability ambitions in the coordination of different projects:

1. Contribute to the definition and execution of AXA Group underwriting sustainability Strategic plan
2. Contribute to the portfolio decarbonization framework and targets execution
3. Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting sustainability policies and guidelines
4. Contribute to develop products and solutions to support Climate & ecological transition

In terms of ESG scoring: AXA received one of the highest scores in the insurance industry - 87/100 (alongside percentile ranking: 98th) for the S&P Global 2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Contribute to the definition and execution of AXA Group UW sustainability Strategic plan

• Work across AXA Group to monitor and report the progress of our key targets: transition underwriting, adaptation services, sustainable claims, Insurance Associated Emissions, Client engagement
• Support UW sustainability strategic plan communication and outreach internally and externally by the creation of communication or training materials for clients, distributors or internally for our insurance professional family.

1. Coordinate the portfolio decarbonization framework and targets execution

• Support internal work to deploy Insurance-Associated Emissions, scope 3 category 15, decarbonization targets, via the deployment of specific tools for the entities, as well as monitoring progress on their actions and target achievement
• Contribute to voluntary and compulsory Climate reporting related to CSRD and other requirements and in coordination with Finance, Group sustainability team and legal
• Support the work done around the decarbonization of the Claims activities and the development of Sustainable Claims by managing working groups dedicated to these topics, monitor KPI progress and the deployment of specific carbon calculation tool.

1. Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting sustainability policies and guidelines

• Support the evolution of the Underwriting sustainability underwriting guidelines, including climate, Biodiversity and Human Rights dimensions, including quantification impacts and KPIs
• Support the management of sustainability-related referrals from entities
• Support the Sustainability lists restrictions updating
• Update the Training materials on Sustainability UW guidelines if needed and coordinate the implantation in the learning systems tools at Group and entity level.

1. Contribute to develop products and solutions to insure Climate & ecological transition

• Support the coordination of the Sustainability UW Expert Network (PlanNet) dedicated to Sustainability UW and Claims, Environmental, Climate and Nature including follow-up actions plan
• Participate in the development of new product and service offers and their promotion
• Support entities in the development of their product reviews and Product Approval Process

YOUR PROFILE

• Underwriting experience is preferable although not mandatory. Other insurance industry experience also recognized
• Demonstration of a strong capacity to learn quickly and develop yourself, you are unphased in front of complex info and can deep dive to understand it.
• Data driven approach to define a problem statement, develop, and define strategies and structure the path forward
• Track record of reliably delivering projects that span multiple teams and functions
• Strong IT skills: Programing ability and or use of data analysis tools, plus Power Point and Excel
• Strong general knowledge of key climate-related recommendations, and experience or an interest in ESG-related subjects
• Very good writing skills in English and French
• Synthesis spirit, able to catch main ideas and to organize and summarize information
• At ease in a multi-cultural working environment
• Autonomy, ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver on time
• Dynamism, reactivity, commitment
