Intern Sustainability Analyst (f/m/d)

Allianz Global Investors is seeking an intern for the Sustainability Team, reporting to the Head of Sustainability Research based in our Paris office.

About the Job

The Sustainability Research is looking to develop in-depth, high quality and forward-thinking thematic research around the firm’s three key areas of focus in sustainability (Climate Change and Transition, Planetary Boundaries and Inclusive Capitalism). The intern will support the team on a broad range of responsibilities from company, sector and thematic.

This is an exciting role providing an individual with the opportunity to help the firm develop Sustainability Research. The successful candidate will join the Global Sustainability Research Team at one of the world’s leading asset managers with a strong commitment to Sustainable and Impact Investments and will exchange with several stakeholders in various functions and all of AllianzGI’s global locations, a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.

This is a Paris based role, and English language skills are essential.

What you do

• Undertake company ESG analysis
• Contribute to the Sustainability sector Research
• Contribute to the thematic research on sustainable themes
• Support the Investment Platform and other internal stakeholders on ad hoc requests
• The selection of the different projects will be adapted and linked to our 3 themes Climate Change and Transition, Planetary Boundaries and Inclusive Capitalism.

What you bring

• Minimum +5 semesters in Bachelor studies Master’s (M2) with a specialization in Sustainability
• Strong interest and knowledge about sustainability and sustainable investing
• Good communication and presentation skills, with clear and concise articulation of ideas and concepts
• Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
• Strong data management and analytical skills
• Flexibility to cover different subjects and help team members when it is required
• Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Teamwork and autonomy
• Strong written and spoken English skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
