The Opportunity

This is not a typical sales role. It is an opportunity to work at the centre of complex, high value decisions with some of the world’s largest organisations.

As an Account Executive at Oritain, you will drive net new business acquisition across EMEA, engaging enterprise businesses with revenues exceeding €1bn. Each conversation has weight, each deal has impact, and every win helps shape how global supply chains are verified and trusted.

This is a hunter role at its core. You will own your pipeline from the ground up, generating opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and genuine market engagement. From initial contact through to final agreement, ownership sits firmly with you, guiding strategic and consultative sales journeys that often become long term partnerships.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building a strong, self generated pipeline sits at the heart of success. You will drive outbound prospecting with real intent, including cold calling, targeted outreach, and strategic account mapping, ensuring a pipeline worth three to four times your annual quota. SDR support is available, but the expectation is clear: you know how to open doors yourself.

Complex, multimillion pound sales cycles require both structure and creativity. You will engage senior stakeholders across sourcing, sustainability, quality, and compliance functions, shaping solutions that speak directly to the risks those teams are managing every day. Internally, you will orchestrate technical, legal, and commercial colleagues to bring the right expertise together at the right moments.

The conversations you will have are rooted in risk. Brands operating in global supply chains face mounting pressure around origin verification, ESG accountability, and regulatory compliance. Your ability to connect Oritain’s forensic science capabilities to those real and urgent concerns is what will set you apart.

Consistent performance is driven through discipline. Clear forecasting, strong pipeline visibility, and focused execution create the foundation for exceeding ambitious targets.

Relationships extend beyond the deal itself. By combining insight, credibility, and clear communication, you will become a trusted voice throughout the customer journey, partnering closely with Account Management and Service Delivery to ensure every client lands well.

What You Bring

A strong track record in enterprise B2B sales, with experience closing complex, high value opportunities against ambitious quotas, ideally £1M or more annually. You understand what it takes to operate in a long sales cycle environment and how to keep momentum alive across six or more months.

A genuine hunter instinct. You do not wait for inbound. You build your own pipeline through outbound activity, cold calling, and proactive market development. Previous experience as an SDR or BDR, or clear and demonstrable evidence of strong outbound pipeline generation, would be a real differentiator.

Confidence operating at senior levels across a range of functions. You can engage and influence CEOs, CSOs, ESG Heads, and Risk Directors, but equally you can hold credible conversations with sourcing, sustainability, quality, and compliance teams who are navigating the practical realities of supply chain risk every day.

A structured, methodical approach to sales supported by recognised methodologies such as MEDDIC, Miller Heiman, or Challenger, balanced with the adaptability to navigate ambiguity and evolving customer needs.

Full professional fluency in both English and French is mandatory for this role. Italian or German at a professional level would be a strong plus.

Experience in compliance, ESG, sustainability, or supply chain integrity is genuinely valued. Familiarity with the pressures facing fashion, retail, grocery retail, private label, or home textiles businesses will help you hit the ground running. Curiosity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust matter just as much.

The Details

Based in Paris and part of a global team, this role represents Oritain across the EMEA region at client meetings, industry events, and key conferences where brand and relationships are built in equal measure.

Travel across EMEA is expected at approximately 20% of the time.

The salary for the role is €70,000-€80,000 with a double OTE.
