We're recognized around the world for our inclusive, meaningful culture and innovative technologies by organizations like Fast Company, Forbes, Newsweek and more.About the jobThe Bid Management team is looking for a Bid Manager to lead and enable winning pursuits by supporting account and opportunity strategies, fostering cross-functional alignment, and delivering high-quality bids and proposals that demonstrate deep customer understanding, business value, and alignment with SAS's strategic goals.Our team partners closely with Sales, Consulting, Technical, Legal, and Executive stakeholders around the world to shape competitive responses that help customers realize the value of analytics, AI, and data-driven decision making.This is a highly visible role where you'll influence strategic opportunities, lead complex proposal efforts, and help drive business growth. You'll collaborate with experienced sales and technical professionals while developing deep expertise in proposal leadership, sales strategy, and customer engagement.As a Bid Manager, you will:Lead the end-to-end bid and proposal development process for strategic opportunities, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality submissions.Partner with Account Executives and Sales leadership to evaluate opportunities, support account strategies, and assess probability of success.Build and lead cross-functional proposal response teams, coordinating contributors across sales, consulting, technical, legal, and partner organizations.Develop proposal outlines, response schedules, milestone reviews, and governance plans to ensure successful execution.Review customer solicitation documents, identify risks and red flags, and communicate impacts and recommendations to stakeholders.Ensure proposal content addresses customer requirements, strategic win themes, business value, and SAS differentiators.Serve as the central point of communication throughout the proposal lifecycle and maintain all related project documentation.Coach and guide less experienced Bid Managers and provide proposal process training to internal stakeholders as required.Drive continuous improvement by evaluating proposal methodologies, maintaining response repositories, and recommending process enhancements.Support additional sales enablement activities including proactive proposals, value assessments, presentations, and standard proposal development.Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. These are our values and influence everything we do.Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical Communication, Journalism, English, or another relevant discipline.Experience of proposal management in a technical environment.Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in French and English.
