Trade Support Assistant, Energy Broker

A new opportunity within an international energy broker, serving the European physical gas, physical power and emissions markets. Our client are looking to hire a more junior candidate (graduate with an internship, alternance, VIE or less than 2 years professional experience) to work as an operations analyst. This dual-role will provides support to traders, brokers, clients, and internal teams on futures, forwards, options and swaps contracts by ensuring smooth onboarding processes and the accurate reception, transmission, and registration of orders.

Responsibilities will include :

• Receive, review, and transmit client orders in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with traders to facilitate, and complete cleared transactions.
• Coordinating with brokers to ensure the correct arrangement and handling of cleared deals.
• Register cleared trades with exchanges accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all transmitted orders and ensure proper audit trails.
• Input and maintain accurate credit data in internal systems.
• Assist with credit control and invoicing.
• Enter and maintain client data in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the onboarding of new clients and conduct periodic reviews of existing clients.
• Contribute to system development projects in collaboration with IT, Operations, and Compliance teams.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Business, Finance, Compliance, or related field) with an internship, alternance, VIE or less than 2 years professional experience
• Initial experience from an internship, alternance or VIE within trade support, middle office, KYC/AML, or client onboarding within a financial markets firm is preferable
• Strong attention to detail, rigour, and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with traders, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Business proficiency in English required (minimum C1 level)
