The AI Senior Financial Engineer RoleSESAMm, in partnership with one of the largest private equity (PE) firms in the United States, is seeking an AI Senior Engineer to join an exciting AI platform project designed to transform investment analysis. This project is at the cutting edge of private equity, leveraging advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve data-driven decision-making. As a Senior AI Financial Engineer in this role, you will contribute to a groundbreaking platform used by deal teams to accelerate and enhance due diligence.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Model Development : Design, implement, and optimize ML and AI models to generate actionable insights, focusing on analyzing diverse data sources and improving decision-making in PE investments.
• Data Engineering & Processing : Work alongside data engineers to develop scalable and efficient data pipelines capable of handling and processing large data volumes from multiple sources.
• Feature Engineering : Collaborate with domain experts to understand the critical components in PE analysis, crafting features that enhance the relevance and accuracy of the models.
• Model Evaluation & Optimization : Use robust evaluation methods and optimization techniques, including distillation and model compression, to ensure high-performance models in a high-demand environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work within a global, cross-functional team, bringing innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Partner with data science and engineering experts to refine and scale the AI platform.

Desired Background and Skills

Education

• Master's degree in AI, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience

• Prior experience (4-5 years) in AI or ML is required. Familiarity with financial services, private equity, or similar industries is advantageous but not required.
• Minimum of 48 months of experience, including internships

Skills

• Expertise in LLM frameworks such as LangChain, a solid understanding of the LLM ecosystem, and familiarity with prompt engineering. Interest in AI tools is also beneficial.
• Ability to tackle complex data challenges, with a keen interest in translating quantitative analysis into actionable insights for high-stakes investment decisions.
• Skilled at explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in English is required; French is a plus.
